Teamed up with New US Podcasting Company to Produce a New Series of Podcasts on the Ruxton Murders

Writer's picture: Tom WoodTom Wood

I've teamed up with the award-winning production and development company Paperclip Ltd founders, Yeardley Smith (actress and voice of Lisa Simpson from the US hit show, the Simpsons) and Ben Cornwell who have launched a new podcast network, Audio 99. The first show launching will feature myself recalling the historical, true crime case about the horrific Ruxton murders called “Beyond Recognition: The Ruxton Murders” set to debut July 19, 2024.

The new series of podcasts are based on my forensic science bestseller, “Ruxton: The First Modern Murder”, published by Ringwood Publishing. The series delves into the 1935 disappearance of a glamorous young mother and her dutiful maid, whose deaths resulted in one of the most important investigations the world had ever seen at that time. The case led to groundbreaking forensic techniques that would forever change how violent crimes are solved.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with the highly professional and dedicated team across the pond at Audio 99 to produce this new series of podcasts. The series has allowed me to elaborate further and bring to life, the infamous Ruxton murders based on my extensive knowledge of these brutal murders and my four decades at the forefront of policing in Scotland.
