My newest book The Bombing of Edinburgh & Leith 1939 - 1942 launches today and the Edinburgh Reporter has put together a great article on it, in today's paper (see below).
The Bombing of Edinburgh & Leith (1939 to 1942) is a captivating account of the almost forgotten bombing raids on Edinburgh during World War 2. Featuring high quality recently discovered photographs and fascinating original reports, the book combines tragedy and farce to meticulously document the experiences of the ordinary population of Edinburgh and their extraordinary resilience, as we approach the eightieth anniversary of the war’s end.
All net proceeds from this book shall be donated to Edinburgh Lothian and Borders Police Historical Society.

Tickets cost £15 for Royal Scots Club members and £20 for non members and includes a traditional wartime two-course ration lunch to put you in the mindset of Edinburgh residents at the time.
Guests are encouraged to wear appropriate WW2 attire, for example, 1940's clothing (ladies hats etc), family medals and any other fitting attire from the time.
