I was delighted to see that there are now 200 Amazon reviews for my book ‘Ruxton the first Modern Murder’ with mostly 5 star reviews, which I’m thrilled about and deeply grateful for.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported the book. I'm so incredibly grateful to every individual who has given my book such positive, interesting feedback and taken the time to write these reviews. This is immensely valuable and important to me and I really appreciate it.
Here’s some of the reviews I’ve had to date, thank you so much again;

5 out of 5 stars - Gripping insight into one of Britain's most infamous cases
5 out of 5 stars – Better than Fiction
The historian Dan Jones has the gift of turning potentially dry historical events into a narrative that reads like a powerful thriller. This talent is shared by Tom Wood who has produced a work which reads like a good novel but covers real events in graphic detail. Tom places the reader at the heart of the action, set among the cultural, legal and political background of the time. If the past is another country, then Tom has obtained a visa. If you want to experience a view of real life, horrific crimes, and law enforcement in the 1930s then this is a must-read. Well done, Tom. This is a history which needed telling and it has been done with immense skill and a good measure of sympathy for those affected by the crimes.

5 out of 5 stars - Captivating Read
This book held me captive for a full day and a half. Tom Wood is an excellent writer and storyteller. The advances to forensic science by these men of a forgotten era are more than remarkable. All members of the police force and criminology specialists should read this book to understand the origins of their profession. These men represent the integrity, common sense, and passion to do what is right that all of us should possess. Thank you, Mr. Wood for your diligence in sharing this most important slice of history!
