New True Crime Podcast by Award-Winning US Firm Features Brutal Killing of Edinburgh Sex Worker..

...to appeal for information about one of Scotland's most notorious, unsolved murders.

Back in April 1983, 27-year-old Sheila Anderson, a sex worker was brutally murdered in Granton, Edinburgh. I worked on this case and unfortunately, to this day, her killer has never been caught.

This horrendous crime is being featured in a new episode of the award-winning true crime podcasts series, produced by the US company, Small Town Dicks who I have partnered up with.

Yeardley Smith, who is better known for voicing the cartoon character Lisa Simpson, will examine the savage 1983 killing together with myself and two twin, US detectives Dan and Dave,

The company normally focuses on small town American crimes but they developed an appetite for Scottish cases, after we came across each other and we discussed this unsolved cold case, in relation to my latest book I'm writing about prostitution in Scotland.

To listen to the podcast, 'Left for Dead' in Season 9 about the tragic killing of Sheila Anderson - go to https://www.smalltowndicks.com/episodes/.

The Daily Record and Edinburgh Evening News covered my story (yesterday and today). To have a read, click here for the Daily Record and here for the Edinburgh Evening News piece.

I've done two other true crime podcasts with Small Town Dicks on the infamous Worlds End Murders, covering the serial killings of two young women, missing from the World's End bar in Edinburgh (go to https://www.smalltowndicks.com/category/podcast/season-8/).

And 'Vanished' covers the child abductions in the 80s by serial killer Robert Black (https://www.smalltowndicks.com/category/podcast/season-8/).
