About the event
Join me at 6pm, as I explore the bombing of Edinburgh and Leith between 1939 and 1942. I'll be going over fascinating wartime facts covered in my latest book about this topic, which launched last year.
When the Edinburgh Police Historical Society uncovered a rare 1944 document detailing German bombing raids on the city, it revealed a story often overlooked. Though not ‘Blitzed’ like London, Edinburgh was repeatedly attacked from October 1939 to 1942, and I will share this history using original crime scene photographs from the City Police Archives.
I'm a member of the Edinburgh Lothian & Borders Police Historical Society, my books include The Worlds End Murders and Ruxton: The First Modern Murder.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about Edinburgh’s wartime resilience and there will be an opportunity to purchase my signed books.
