About the event

The Moffat Museum’s new exhibition on the Moffat Ravine Murders - the Birth of Modern Forensics has seen record numbers of visitors since it opened and I’m delighted to have been asked to talk on Wednesday 26 April ’23 – about these murders, which I covered extensively in my book Ruxton, the First Modern Murder.

No need to pre-book.   Simply come along for a 7pm start at the Proudfoot Institute on Mansfield Place, Moffat. Entry is complimentary and a donation to the Moffat Museum encouraged.

I will be covering details of these murders most foul, the revolutionary methods of forensic investigation and the evil deeds of Dr Buck Ruxton plus an opportunity to chat informally, after my talk.  I hope you can make it.
